Brighten Your Smile with Professional Teeth Whitening

At Union Family Dental, Dr. Hogan offers safe, effective teeth whitening treatments designed to help you feel more confident in your smile. We use proven cosmetic dentistry methods to remove stains and discoloration, giving you the brighter, whiter teeth you desire.

Why Teeth Become Discolored

Yellowing and discoloration happen for several reasons. The most common causes include:

  • Foods and beverages – Coffee, tea, red wine, and berries can stain teeth over time
  • Tobacco use – Smoking and other tobacco products cause significant yellowing and staining
  • Medications – Long-term use of certain medications can lead to discoloration
  • Internal damage – Root canals or tooth trauma can cause internal discoloration

Most surface stains respond very well to professional whitening treatments. In cases where discoloration is internal, we may recommend deep internal bleaching or restorative options like crowns or veneers to restore your tooth's appearance.

Safe, Effective Whitening You Can Trust

Professional teeth whitening performed at our office is designed with your safety in mind. Our treatments will not damage your teeth and are formulated to deliver excellent results without unwanted complications.

Some patients may experience mild tooth sensitivity after the procedure, but this typically resolves within a day or so and should be minimal.

The Zoom Whitening Process

We offer advanced Zoom whitening, a light-activated treatment that delivers immediate results:

Assessment – First, we examine your teeth for any signs of decay or damage that might affect the whitening process. Any necessary treatment is completed before we begin.

Application – We apply a state-of-the-art hydrogen peroxide gel to your teeth. A lip retractor gently holds your lips back to ensure every tooth is evenly coated and exposed to the light.

Activation – A special light is aimed at your teeth for approximately 15 minutes. The light works together with the gel to break down and remove stains.

Results – After the treatment time, we remove the gel and retractor. You'll notice whiter, brighter teeth immediately.
